Sampler Afghan

Finished!  This was a fun one to do - every time I got bored with a square or the pattern got 'broken', I just started a different one.  It's kind of funky looking but it's growing on me.  The finished project is 58" by 48".  I used 13 skeins of TLC ultra soft. (4 oz).

I know... gray cat on gray afghan - way too subtle but tell that to Jake. This is now about 40" long and 50" wide. The yarn is nice and soft and the pattern is, well, interesting! It's fun to do but I'm ready to go back to professional patterns.

This is 30 inches long which means I'm about half way done. It's turned out to be kind of fun. It looks a little funky, but there's great freedom in 'oh, this stitch isn't working too well, I'll switch to another one'!

I'm not sure this is my favorite afghan ever. It's a good reminder about why patterns are good. It's now 50" wide and 15" long. I'll probably do at least 40".

This is really hard to get a good picture of. I think the idea is a little more interesting than the execution but it's still going to look cool, I think. At least I'm getting lots of experience with different stitches!

Here's the latest project. It's TLC Grey Heather on #6 needles. I cast on 8 30 stitch sections with 2 stiches of garter between each one and 4 garter stitches on the outside. I'm making it up as I go along. It's hard to see so far but, I think it's going to look pretty cool.
